Which dog is yours?

Find the one you live with. If your dog is a mix, or we have not made their breed yet, we will sculpt them from your photos.

Looks like your dog Sculpted breed by breed, so you can tell a Beagle from a Basset at a glance.
Solid, not hollow Heavy in the hand, the way a real object should be. Solid bronze, so it outlasts all of us.
Ages like a keepsake It darkens slowly over the years, so it ages alongside the dog rather than staying frozen.
Ready to give Arrives boxed in tissue, so you can hand it straight over.

The breeds people keep coming back for

Every breed is made on its own, so a Beagle is a Beagle and not a generic brown dog.

Three sizes

Three sizes, one decision

Every breed is offered in the same three sizes, so a household with several dogs still reads as one collection.

Petite
About 1.25 inches tall

Small enough to close your hand around. The one people end up buying twice.

$99 Shop
Grand
4 inches tall

The collector's size. Every detail fully legible, and real weight in the hand.

Measurements are taken at the tallest point and vary slightly by breed and pose.

Why they look right

Most dog figurines look like a dog. Ours look like your dog.

There is a reason the retriever in the gift shop could be any of four breeds. It was made once and sold as all of them. We start each breed from scratch, then check it against photographs of real dogs until an owner would recognise it.

  • 01 We get the details owners notice The set of the ears, the length of the muzzle, the line of the back, the way the tail sits. The things you would spot on your own dog instantly.
  • 02 We get the way they stand A Border Collie crouches. A Great Dane leans on you. A Dachshund plants itself like it pays the mortgage. Posture is what makes it recognisable.
  • 03 Then bronze holds it Metal keeps the fur texture and the expression sharp at this size. Resin blurs both, which is why gift-shop dogs all end up looking the same.

How they are made

How your dog gets made

The same process used for museum sculpture, at a size that fits your desk. Roughly forty hours of work goes into each breed before we make a single one.

Step 1

We sculpt the breed

Built from the breed standard, then checked against photographs of real dogs until it reads right.

Step 2

Set in plaster

A wax copy is sealed in plaster, which captures every hair and whisker before the metal ever arrives.

Step 3

Cast in bronze

The wax burns away and molten bronze takes its place. One casting per mould, which is why the detail stays crisp.

Step 4

Finished by hand

Cleaned up by hand until the coat reads correctly, then left alone to darken naturally from there.

It actually looks like my dog.

I have bought three dachshund figurines over the years and they all looked like generic sausages. The ears and the chest on this one are right. My husband noticed before I said anything.

Heavier than I expected, in the best way.

You can feel the weight the second you pick it up. He sits on my desk at work and clients keep asking about him.

We bought it after we lost Bailey.

I was worried it would be sad to look at. It is the opposite. It sits on the shelf next to her collar and it feels like she is still holding down her spot in the room.

The gift box did half the work for me.

Ordered for my father-in-law who is impossible to shop for. It arrived wrapped with the certificate card and I did not have to do a thing. He put it on his bookshelf that afternoon.

Started with one, now we have four.

One for each dog we have had. They line up on the shelf by age, and you can actually see the older ones have gone darker, which I did not expect to like as much as I do.

Looks expensive without looking fussy.

Our house is not a knick-knack house. This is the one animal figure that made it past both of us, because it reads as sculpture rather than decoration.

Commissions

Most of the dogs we love are mixes.

If your dog is a rescue of uncertain parentage, or a breed we have not reached yet, send us three photographs. We sculpt the dog in the picture rather than a pedigree, and nothing gets cast until you approve the sculpt.

It will look like a very good example of your dog's breed. We sculpt to the breed standard rather than to an individual animal, so colour markings and one floppy ear will not be reproduced. If your dog is a mix, or you want their specific quirks captured, that is what our commission service is for. Send us a photo before you order and we will tell you honestly which route suits you.

Yes. Solid bronze, cast one at a time and finished by hand. You will know the moment you pick it up. No resin, no plated composite, and we are not going to start.

Classic, about 2.5 inches, is the one we suggest starting with, since the breed still reads clearly from across a desk. Petite, about 1.25 inches, closes inside your hand and is the easiest way to build up several dogs. Grand, at 4 inches, is the collector's piece, where every modelled surface is fully legible. If you plan to collect several dogs, keep them all the same size so the group reads as a set.

We add two or three breeds a month, and the waiting list decides which ones, so adding yours genuinely counts as a vote. We will email you the day it is ready. If you would rather not wait, we can sculpt your dog from photographs in four to six weeks.

Dust it with the cloth in the box. Keep household cleaners, alcohol and metal polish away from it, since those strip the finish. It will darken slowly where you handle it, which most owners end up liking. Do not lift it by the tail or a raised leg.

Within 30 days of delivery, in its original packaging, for any reason at all, including that it simply did not look the way you hoped. If it arrives damaged, send us a photograph and we will replace it without asking you to ship anything back.
