A dog sculpt being reviewed on screen against reference photographs

Commissions

Your dog, specifically

Breeds we have not reached yet, rescues of uncertain parentage, and mixes that look like nothing else. Sculpted from your photographs in four to six weeks.

Tell us about your dog

Fill this in and we will come back within one business day with a quote and a realistic timeline. No payment is taken until you approve the direction, and nothing gets cast before you have signed off on the sculpt.

No payment is taken at this stage. We quote first, and nothing gets cast until you approve the sculpt.

How it works

How we sculpt your dog

You see your dog before anything is committed to metal, twice.

Step 1

You send photos

Three is usually enough. Standing side profile, head-on, and sitting. Daylight, at their eye level.

Step 2

We quote

A commission is $4,995. That covers sculpting your dog specifically, the master model, and your finished 4 in piece. Everything is confirmed in writing before we start.

Step 3

Sculpt review

We send renders of the sculpt from several angles. This is where you tell us the muzzle is too long, and we fix it.

Step 4

Only then, bronze

Nothing is cast until you have said yes. After that it is made in bronze and finished by hand like everything else we make.

Delivered

Boxed with a certificate card recording that it is a commission, with your dog's name on it if you want.

A commission is $4,995 for a 4 in sculpture of your dog specifically. That covers the work that only happens once: studying your photographs, sculpting your dog, and cutting the master model. Once that model exists, further copies of your dog are priced like our standard pieces, so a second one for a family member costs a fraction of the first.

Four to six weeks from the point we have usable photographs and your approval. Sculpting takes the bulk of that. We do not promise Christmas delivery on commissions started after the first week of November.

Daylight, no flash, camera at the dog's eye level, and taken from a couple of steps back rather than up close, since phone lenses distort muzzles badly at short range. A standing side profile is the single most useful shot. Three good photographs beat thirty average ones.

Yes, and we do this often. Older photographs are usually workable, including printed ones you photograph or scan. Tell us in the form and we will handle the correspondence gently. We can include their name and dates on the certificate card.

Then we change it. That is exactly what the sculpt review is for, and adjustments at that stage are included. Because the model is digital, revisions cost you nothing but a little time. If we genuinely cannot get to a likeness you are happy with, we refund the deposit in full and part on good terms.

We keep your dog's model on file so you can order more castings later. We do not sell it to anyone else, and we do not add commissioned breeds to the public range without asking you first.
