A Beagle is a small hound built like a large one, and that is exactly what the sculpt has to communicate. Solid bone, deep chest, a slightly domed skull, and long low-set ears that fall in soft folds beside the cheeks.
Sculpted standing with the tail up and the nose slightly down, which is a Beagle in the two seconds before it stops listening to anyone. The short dense coat is left relatively smooth so the muscle underneath reads clearly.

Heights are measured at the tallest point and vary a little by breed and pose. A Dachshund is longer than it is tall.
It will look like an excellent example of the breed. Colour markings, a docked tail, or one ear that never stood up are not reproduced on a standard casting. If you want your individual dog captured, our commission service does exactly that from photographs.
Warm Bronze is lighter with golden highlights and suits oak, brass, and warm-toned rooms. Dark Bronze is deeper and reads more like classical sculpture, which works well against white shelving and darker woods. Both cost the same at every size, and both continue to deepen naturally with age.
